1. Choose the Right Shampoo for Your Hair Type

The condition of your hair is closely related to how you wash it. Learning the correct washing method—and selecting the right shampoo—can significantly improve hair health.

Many people buy shampoo based on trends or recommendations without considering their own hair type. Over time, this can actually worsen hair condition.

  • If your hair gets oily easily, choose a silicone-free shampoo to avoid excessive buildup.

  • If your hair is dry, frizzy, or overly puffy, opt for a moisturizing shampoo containing ingredients like silicones or cetearyl alcohol to help smooth and soften the hair.

Choosing products tailored to your needs is the first step toward healthier hair.

2. Wash Your Hair Regularly

Some people wash their hair only once a week because they feel it doesn’t look dirty. However, infrequent washing can affect scalp health.

  • If your hair is dry, washing it every 2–3 days is usually appropriate.

  • If your scalp tends to get oily, washing it every other day—or even daily, depending on your condition—may be necessary.
